King Solomon wanted everyone to understand that along with God’s eternity and strength, He is also a God of love and beauty—the pillars of our faith.

The Temple and our places of worship are ways of showing God that we have someplace dedicated to worshiping Him.

The Temple was the place where the psalmist felt the beauty of God’s presence more than any other place.

Our synagogues and churches are more than just buildings—they are the places where we live out our faith and values together.

And just as the Temple was a place to draw close to God and rejoice in His presence, we must make our own home a sacred place that draw us closer to God and each other.

In other words, when our words honestly convey the past, we will also be on solid ground in the future.

This is the Bible’s “40-year test.” Do we still recognize the miracle of God’s blessings, even after decades, when those blessings have become the norm for us?

By patiently waiting 40 years for change and a generation to arise among the children of Israel, God made it clear that His covenant with Israel is unbreakable.

It is so important for a person to know who they are so that they can fulfill their life’s mission.

In Psalm 9, King David expressed gratitude of the highest quality. He wrote, “I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart.” What does it mean to give thanks “with all my heart?”

As people of faith, we regularly express our thankfulness to God. Yet, I think it’s important to focus not just on the quantity of our thanks, but also on the quality.

We may not know the future. But we do know that God is in charge and that His love is certain.
