The eighth day requirement teaches us the deeper meaning of circumcision. Circumcision represents going beyond the natural.

Friends, when we make mistakes, as we humans tend to do, don’t give into despair. Instead do as Adam did and pray as David prayed.

Since the righteous have built their lives on the solid foundation of faith, biblical values, morals, and teachings, they can withstand any adversity.

The lesson for us is that we must extend kindness to all kinds of people—those we like and those we don’t enjoy, those we know and those we have never met.

The person who is good, kind, and moral even when no one is looking, is truly holy. And those who are true to God on the inside and out have a place with God for eternity.

As incomprehensible as they might seem, Aaron accepted that God’s ways are just and good—no matter what.

In order for a blessing to have power and influence, it must come from the heart and a sincere desire to benefit the receiver.

When we acknowledge that God “holds the leash,” so-to-speak—that He maintains control over everything in the world—we know that we are protected.

Perhaps this is one of God’s purposes for the charity that He calls us to give, to bring the giver and the needy, for the “rich and poor to meet together” in closer bonds of friendship and love.

Just as we cover our challah bread, we must also shield our brothers and sisters from embarrassment and wrap them in beautiful words of encouragement, praise, and love!

Today is a new day, with new possibilities. It’s time to let go of what holds us back and move forward into our God-given destiny.

When we recognize that everything we have and everything we are is because of God and we are dependent on His mercy, we deepen our connection to Him.
