On Sukkot, we not only thank God for our many blessings, but also realign our perspective so that we realize just how abundantly blessed we really are.

The message of the sukkah is that while we may be vulnerable, we are also protected by God. It is God’s job to watch over us and it is our job to trust Him.

We are only passing through. And when we grasp that life is merely a short and temporary experience leading to eternity, we make better decisions and live more meaningful lives.

God is the true source of our talents and resources and rededicate them to His purposes—with joy, gratitude, and celebration.

We Jews believe that even though the Temple no longer exists, this is still the place where God’s presence dwells in a unique way.

As time moves forward, as humanity gradually moves away from false beliefs in many gods, more and more people will unite in worship of the one God of Israel.

What better way to appreciate all God’s blessings and all He has given us than by leaving our homes and giving up our usual comforts.

The way we repay God is by calling out His name and making Him known throughout the world with our praise and thanksgiving.
