While Yom Kippur is a day of fasting and repentance, it is also a day of restored relationships, with our neighbours, as well as with God.

If the power of unity for the Israelites could bring God down to earth, imagine what will happen when God’s people come together now!

They do not understand that God governs the world justly. It may take years, or even centuries, but ultimately God’s justice will prevail.

Do we choose to focus on the blessings? Or do we choose to focus on the hardships and pain? Choose life. choose blessings.

The “Day of trumpets” is truly a day to think about the big picture and rededicate ourselves to God’s kingship over all humanity.

We pray that the coming year be like honey, that it should never go bad, but should stay a good and sweet year forever.

Jewish history is filled with suffering and persecution. But we know that God’s love for us is eternal and that Israel will always stand.

We can never be given God. A person has to work at receiving God. We all need to seek God if we wish to find Him.
