By heeding the call to God, the Levites turned back the tide of sin that had taken over the people. Because of the courage of the Levites, God’s covenant with Israel was restored.

The Jewish people have been a source of light to the world because of the suffering they have endured over the centuries.

The Jewish sages understand it this way: If you want to be happy, then worship the Lord. The path to true happiness is serving and worshipping God.

...And the purpose of our worship, is to teach us to put someone other than ourselves first. That’s the essence of worship and sacrifice.
