This year’s Passover was a roller coaster of uncertainty for all those living in Israel.&nbs

In April 1912, 114 years ago, the sinking of the RMS Titanic shocked the entire world. We remember this tragic event, which reshaped maritime safety as we know it, and the hundreds of lives lost that night.

Israelis gathered with their families and loved ones to celebrate Passover. However, this year was different. Seder tables were set in safe shelters as Iran unleashed its largest barrage of strikes since the war began.

As part of The Fellowship’s Passover response, IFCJ Canada is supporting food assistance for vulnerable families, while Fellowship Israel is working with local partners to prepare and distribute Passover food boxes across Israel. 

Across Israel, families will soon gather around their seder tables, even as the fog of war lingers. 

When the conflict with Iran began, Fellowship Israel staff—part of a Fellowship affiliate organization—prepared a reserve of around 1,500 emergency purchase cards to help meet urgent needs such as food, clothing, and basic necessities for people in Israel displaced by Iranian rocket attacks.

Iran’s rockets have relentlessly targeted Israel, with Beit Shemesh, near Jerusalem, experiencing repeated strikes. Last week, nine people were killed, and a synagogue was hit and damaged.
