A Dream Come True in Israel IFCJ Canada | July 17, 2026 Nearly a year ago, Dario and Lucila, along with their children Benjamin and Sara, fulfilled a lifelong dream by making aliyah (immigration) from Argentina to Israel. Today, the family is building a new life in Haifa. As they approach their first year in Israel, Dario and Lucila continue studying Hebrew at a local ulpan (intensive Hebrew school), while Benjamin and Sara have settled into a nearby school—each taking courageous steps toward a bright future in their Jewish homeland. For Dario, making aliyah carries profound personal meaning. His grandfather survived the Holocaust before rebuilding his life in Argentina. Today, generations later, Dario and his family have come home to Israel, fulfilling a dream rooted in both family history and Jewish identity. “We feel very happy here in Israel,” Dario shares. “Despite the challenges of the past year, including the war, this truly feels like home.” The family’s first year has not been without hardship. During the war, they spent long days and nights taking shelter from rocket attacks. Yet even in those difficult moments, they were surrounded by a caring community that helped them face each challenge together. “Since we came to Israel, The Fellowship has been amazing to us,” Dario says. “They made sure we were OK and provided things we needed to begin our lives here. We appreciate that support so much, and we know we can count on The Fellowship if we need help.” As the family continues to build their future in Israel, they remain deeply grateful for the faithful supporters whose generosity helped turn the dream of aliyah into the reality of a safe and welcoming home. “It is amazing to feel at home in the Jewish homeland,” Dario says. “We are grateful to everyone who helped make this new beginning possible.” Today, your compassionate gift can help more Jewish families like Dario’s find safety, belonging, and a new beginning in Israel.
