Equipping and Rebuilding Northern Israel

Even three years after the war began, northern Israel continues to face a long and difficult road toward healing and rebuilding. For many residents, the sense of peace and normalcy they once knew has been deeply disrupted, with communities, institutions, and critical infrastructure still recovering from attacks and ongoing threats. 

In the midst of these challenges, IFCJ Canada remains committed to standing with the people of northern Israel — responding to urgent needs as they arise and helping bring comfort, support, and hope to communities working to rebuild their lives. 

Essentials such as hygiene products, clothing, and household items are being delivered to these communities to help families rebuild their lives. In addition, community resilience is strengthened by providing essential support for back-to-school needs, youth training programs, senior care, and local soup kitchens. 

Following a recent visit to northern Israel by our sister organization, IFCJ U.S., additional funding was approved for Fellowship-supported projects throughout the region. During the visit, the team was joined by our President, Yael Eckstein, as they began their day at Kibbutz Manara along the Lebanese border. From there, Yael and the team visited several additional locations, including an elderly care home near Tel Hai, where they donated much-needed care equipment. They then traveled to the Nof HaGalil Absorption Center, where they distributed school supplies to Bnei Menashe children preparing to begin their first school year in Israel. 

Rebuilding northern Israel is not a one-time task — it is an ongoing, multi-stage process that requires continued collaboration, coordination, and support from the Foundation. IFCJ Canada could not be part of this vital work without our donors, whose generosity helps make this ongoing recovery possible.  

“They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations” (Isaiah 61:4).
