The National Insurance Institute of Israel reported that 27.8% of households in Israel are unable to cover their household costs. For families already facing the ongoing challenges of war and disruptions to daily life, financial hardships can make preparing for a new school year even more difficult. As children head back to school, many families continue to struggle to afford the supplies, meals, and resources they need to start the year prepared. This is why IFCJ Canada provided $25,000 in funding for backpacks and school supplies for children from families in need, helping them enter the upcoming school year confident and prepared to learn. Through this support, 688 children received backpacks filled with essential school supplies, helping them start the year ready to succeed.
