One of the ways The Fellowship helps elderly and Holocaust survivors in Israel is through providing lifesaving food and medicine; elderly beneficiaries also receive the love and attention of the entire Fellowship family. Sometimes, in addition to basic needs, what these elderly need more than anything is a way to alleviate loneliness and find a sense of community and friendship.

This is why when volunteers visited Fellowship beneficiaries for the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, they were happy to spend time with the volunteers and receive holiday care packages to celebrate! 92-year-old Zinaida says, “The most important thing is that I know that there is an organization that is constantly thinking and taking care of me. I am not alone, not even during the war.”
