The Fellowship is there to help Israel through this catastrophe. Earlier today, Yael Eckstein, our president, sent this on-the-ground report: It’s Memorial Day, and they’re saying it’s terrorism. Fire terrorism. Israel is experiencing extremely hot and dry temperatures, with very strong winds … which creates the perfect environment for out-of-control fires. From northern Israel to southern Israel – and in the mountains surrounding Jerusalem – uncontained fires are raging. The earth is burning up, quickly. Cities are being evacuated. Drivers are leaving their cars on the highways to escape on foot. Over a dozen people have already been brought to the hospital. And those heroes on the front lines? They’re Fellowship volunteers on the ground, providing emergency assistance to all those in need. What a privilege and a calling from God!
