It’s been 1,000 days since the horrific terror attacks Israel faced on October 7, 2023. Jews in the Holy Land woke to a new reality of terror and violence as approximately 1,200 people were murdered, thousands were wounded, and 251 people were taken hostage. JNS reports that friend of The Fellowship, Mike Huckabee, urged people to remember those we lost on that fateful day.

“We should never forget the victims & should keep asking ‘how did such a thing happen?’” the envoy added.

The attacks marked the deadliest-single day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

Since October 7, 2023, IFCJ Canada has committed additional support to address ongoing emergency needs in the hardest-hit communities while continuing to provide humanitarian aid through our core program areas. This support includes everything from prepackaged emergency food, water, and essential aid, and warm meals for elderly individuals unable to evacuate, to aliyah assistance for olim and other vulnerable populations affected by the war and ongoing conflict.

And this support would not be possible without our generous donors. As we take a moment to pray for the victims and families affected by October 7, we continue working to bring hope and practical support to those in need in the Holy Land.

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isaiah 40:29).
