Help Us Lift Up Israel and the Jewish People In Prayer
The Fellowship Prayer Team unites Jews and Christians around the world to raise a chorus of prayer to God for the security, well-being, and protection of Israel and the Jewish people. By appealing to God on behalf of his children, the Prayer Team will make a powerful, positive impact on Israel's struggle for peace and security, and provide a tremendous source of encouragement to Israel and her people. Prayer points
Four Israelis were killed Tuesday night when gunmen opened fire on their car in the West Bank. The victims were two men and two women, one of whom was pregnant. Please join The Fellowship in prayer for the loved ones of the victims of this attack.
- Pray for the family of Corporal Brian Pinkson, of Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, who, at 20, lost his life serving our efforts for peace in Afghanistan.
- Pray for the success of the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. Pray that God gives Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Palestinian Authority President Abbas, and U.S. President Obama wisdom and discernment during these critical times as they seek a way to bring a true and lasting peace in the region. "To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his" (Job 12:13).
- Pray for the millions of Jews throughout the world who will soon gather in prayer for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Pray that their prayers be received and answered by God for their good. "I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer" (Psalm 17:6).
- Pray for Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, who turned 24 years old last week while being held captive by Hamas. This birthday marks his 5th in captivity — pray that he will be brought home swiftly, safely, and in good health. "He has turned to the prayer of those who cried out, and He did not despise their prayer… For he has looked down from His holy height; the Lord looked from heaven to earth, to hear the cry of the prisoner, and release those condemned to death" (Psalm 102: 17,19-20).
