The Support They So Desperately Needed

It is a challenging job to raise your child as a single mother with no support, and sometimes it can feel lonely. That’s how Olga felt. She and her 10-year-old daughter Katya are from a small town in Ukraine. Even before the war began, Olga brought in a meagre income that left her with barely enough money for putting a meal on the table at the end of the day. “It is a terrible feeling, knowing that your growing daughter will go to sleep hungry and cold. I felt overwhelmed with guilt and sadness and had no one to share the burden with.”

Last Passover, IFCJ Canada became their lifeline, supporting them with food and medicine.

“For ten years I raised Katya on my own. No one asked me if I was okay, and no one provided the support that I so desperately needed,” says Olga. “You are our saviours.”

Friends like you provided deliverance to this struggling Jewish family last Passover. And this Passover, as Olga and Katya and so many others like them are threatened by the ongoing war in Ukraine, you can continue to help.

Provide aid — true deliverance — this Passover to struggling families whose only support is IFCJ Canada and our faithful friends.
