Just walking down the street I feel the Bible come alive, as I see the ingathering of the exile with my own eyes. Growing up in Chicago, almost all of the Jews looked like me, with European ancestry. Here in the Holy Land there is no one way that Jews look; there are Jews from India, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Russia, Ukraine, France, and more all living on the same block, sending their children to the same school, and calling each other ‘brother’ and ‘sister’. Amazing. Anyone who says that God doesn’t exist and the words of the prophets are not alive has obviously never been to Israel!
