A Safe Place to Raise Their Son

“The assistance from The Fellowship gives me a feeling that my absorption in Israel will be easier”

Alexandra and her two-year-old son, Daniel, were on a recent Fellowship Freedom Flight from Ukraine, escaping the chaos and violence for a new life in Israel.

Alexandra, a 27-year-old pharmacist, proudly wears a large Star of David necklace. When asked if she was afraid to walk around with it on in Ukraine, she replies, "In my city, there is a very large Jewish community, so I did not feel that it was a problem. I am proud of our Jewishness."

Though Alexandra, her husband Constantine, and their two-year-old son, Daniel, were not affected directly by the chaos and violence in Ukraine, the resulting rise in the cost of living made it difficult because Alexandra is still on maternity leave. In Ukraine, maternity leave continues for up to three years. Basic necessities become extras, and necessities for the baby were a large part of their monthly expenses.

Constantine, who had lived in Israel before, had already moved to Israel ahead of his wife and son, paving the way for him and Alexandra to raise Daniel in a place that is safe and supports their beliefs. They will settle in Jerusalem and plan to make Israel their permanent home.

“Despite the uncertainty, we are optimistic and believe everything will be fine,” Alexandra says. “We hope our son adjusts well. It is a huge change, but the fact that my husband is already there calms me. And the assistance from The Fellowship gives me a feeling that my absorption in Israel will be easier." The entire family is grateful for your generosity.

When you support The Fellowship’s On Wings of Eagles ministry, you help fulfill biblical prophecy, as foretold in the book of Isaiah: “I will beckon to the Gentiles … they will bring your sons in their arms and carry your daughters on their shoulders” (Isaiah 49:22).

Please prayerfully consider how you can help with a Freedom Flight today to rescue more desperate families.
