Isaiah 58: Providing Food for a Growing Boy
Anton is a young boy who lives with his parents, grandmothers, and brother in Russia. The family is friendly and well-liked, and is frequently involved in community activities. Anton and his brother, Semyon, are well-adjusted and do well in school.
The family, however, has many financial difficulties. Anton's mother, Olga, stays home to take care of the two sickly grandmothers. Although Anton's father works hard, he is unable to provide for an extended family this large. Semyon and Anton are growing quickly and seldom have enough clothing that fits, nutritious food, or school supplies.
Through
The Fellowship's
Isaiah 58 program, the family receives much-needed support in the form of staple foods, including vegetables, fruits, cereal, and juice. This goes a long way toward providing the family with the nutritious food they need to be healthy — and helps free up some money from their budget so they can purchase other essentials as well.
The family is very grateful to the people who support
Isaiah 58 for demonstrating that they care about the needy, even in this difficult time. They asked to convey to all Fellowship staff and donors: "May peace, blessings, and good luck always accompany each of you!"
You too can be a blessing to a family in need in the former Soviet Union through a gift to Isaiah 58.
