Julia: Thriving - One Step At A Time

Print Bookmark
Two-year-old Julia was born with brain damage and diagnosed with autism soon after her birth in Russia. Julia’s parents love her dearly and are committed to helping her grow and thrive in every possible way. But the cost of caring for an autistic child has been a major financial burden on them. A third of their family income is spent on Julia’s medicines, tests and checkups.

One day, Julia’s doctors told her parents that Julia needed a special medical treatment – a treatment her parents simply could not afford. They were devastated, and prayed to God that He would find a way to help them give their beloved daughter the help she so desperately needed.

Thankfully, their prayers were answered by The Fellowship’s Isaiah 58 program, which paid for Julia’s treatment at the health center, as well as the cost of having one of her parents stay nearby the center while she was in treatment.

The assistance provided by Isaiah 58 has been life-changing for Julia and her family. After just one month, Julia was able to raise her right hand and stood on her own for the first time. “We have nearly returned to the lifestyle we had before Julia was born,” her mother says. “We have started taking part in community events again and now Julia is able to participate in children’s activities. She even tries to walk. We are so happy!”

Julia is just one of many children living in the FSU who rely on the support of Isaiah 58 to live full and productive lives. Help them today
