Penina and Avraham struggle each month to pay their bills. Avraham works full-time as a supermarket manager, while Penina takes care of their four children. "Between all of our bills, we have to sit down each month in order to decide how we're going to juggle them," Penina says. "We just can't make ends meet."
Penina and Avraham cannot afford to take their son, Adir, to see a dentist, even though he has suffered from excruciating mouth pain for years. Unlike other necessary health treatments, dental treatment is not included in the health package provided by the Israeli government. Their inability to ease their son's suffering left Penina and Avraham heartbroken.
Thankfully, Penina and Avraham found the solution to their problem in The Fellowship's Guardians of Israel program, which funds dental treatments for children from low-income families. They immediately registered Adir for the program.
Because Adir's dental health was neglected for so long, he needed a total of 27 treatments, all of which were paid for by Guardians. It was a long and sometimes painful process, but Adir was very brave through it all because he knew that after it was over he would finally be pain-free.
Penina and Avraham are thankful to donors to Guardians for providing their son with this life-changing assistance. "From the bottom of our hearts we want you all to know how grateful we are to Guardians of Israel. God bless you all."
