Providing Heat to a Widowed Holocaust Survivor

Without The Fellowship, she would spend this winter cold and alone. But, thankfully, our loving supporters have ensured that she can spend the winter months living with dignity and grace.

Zinaida is an 82-year-old widow and Holocaust survivor. Her father was drafted into the Soviet army during World War II, and she struggled to survive on her own. Her primary memory from that time period is being hungry all the time

After the war, Zinaida attended school, married, and worked as an engineer in the former Soviet Union (FSU). In 1993, Zinaida and her husband came to Israel, where she worked cleaning houses. Sadly, her husband passed away shortly after they arrived in the Holy Land.

Today, Zinaida lives alone. She has physical limitations that make it hard for her to leave her apartment, let alone work, and she struggles to survive on a small government pension. She has two children living in Israel, but they are unable to help her financially.

Without The Fellowship, she would spend this winter cold and alone. But, thankfully, our loving supporters have ensured that she can spend the winter months living with dignity and grace. Through our Operation Winter Warmth program, Zinaida has received blankets and a heating cheque, and she is so happy to know she has friends around the world looking out for her. Many more elderly like her are still suffering and alone. Please help provide warmth and care to elderly Holocaust survivors.
