This Should Not Be
Imagine being trapped inside your home for over a year and a half—with no hope and no help.
Imagine being trapped inside your home for over a year and a half—with no hope and no help.
Grena, an 86-year-old Holocaust survivor who lives in Lod, Israel, could not leave her home for months. Suffering from diabetes, her leg had to be amputated, making it impossible to get up and down the stairs of her dilapidated building.
But even more tragic, Grena did not have the money to pay for even the most basic food or medicine.
When we think of an elderly Holocaust survivor suffering this way, it breaks our hearts and compels us to say, “This should not be!”
That is why The Fellowship Crisis Hotline was created, to ensure people like Grena have someone to call.
Through the help of faithful friends like you, The Fellowship’s global team supported the installation of an elevator in Grena’s building and we provide meals, medicines, and care.
But Grena is not alone. There are thousands of impoverished elderly in Israel who call out for help in the darkness every day.
We hope that you will join with us to help these who have nowhere else to turn each month through your compassionate gift.
