Spreading Love and Comfort

Recently, I had one of those days... I left for work at 6:30 in the morning and arrived in Jerusalem by 8am.

By 8:30am I was in the middle of important meetings, when I got a call from my son’s daycare that he was sick. My husband rushed to get him and took care of him for the rest of the day with gentle love, lots of singing, swinging, tea, and walks.

For the rest of the day, my heart melted as I thought about my sick baby and me not being there. And suddenly, all of The Fellowship’s work came into perspective in a real and emotional way; The single mothers that we help, who have nowhere else to turn. The orphans we care for, who have no one else in the world to care for them. The poor and lonely elderly we send volunteers to weekly, to provide them with food, medicine, and often most important, love and friendship.

We all need love and companionship, and for those of us who are blessed enough to have it - by a spouse, parent, friend, child, neighbour, friend, church group, niece or nephew, or anyone else - it is our responsibility to spread the comfort of God’s love to others.

Last year, The Fellowship spread that love and comfort to over 1.5 million desperate Jews in Israel and around the world.

We are all God’s messengers, with the responsibility to love our neighbours like ourselves. That’s what The Fellowship does every day on your behalf.

So, from this blessed mama to you, thank you for making this prophetic, historic, life-saving work possible. It is my honour to be a part of it.
