A Love Story from Kiev

“I realized that actually I'm constantly shooting love stories here.”

This photograph was taken in Kiev by a partner of The Fellowship, and shows Mikhail comforting his 5-year-old son Danya, who suffers from microcephaly. It also shows, says photographer Vladimir Shraga, the raw emotion felt and seen by those on the ground who carry out God's work on the part of our faithful supporters:

Two first days of my Ukraine trip have passed, and of course I'm full of impressions. The stories of the clients here are hard, especially those of the kids. I want to share with you just one picture which I've taken today and which probably better describes my current mood than any of my words could do.

I know this is heartbreaking. But do you know what came to my mind yesterday? I realized that actually I'm constantly shooting love stories here. And love behind the stories of families with disabled children is often much deeper than behind traditional love stories which people normally shoot before weddings.

Israel’s suffering families, children, and elderly are in desperate need of your caring support. You can send comfort to those who have nothing and are alone. Please send a generous gift today.
