“Your building bridges between nations will pave the way for the healing and ultimate redemption in saving the lives of thousands of Jews in Israel, Russia, Ukraine, and around the world.”

Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein was recently named Man of the Year by Chamah, a Fellowship partner and humanitarian organization dedicated to helping needy Jews in the former Soviet Union (FSU).

The Fellowship has supported Chamah’s work to help desperate elderly, families and children for the past 12 years.

Rabbi Eckstein received the award at a gala dinner in New York City last month, where he also played his guitar and sang for those gathered.

The plaque he was given was inscribed with these words: “Your building bridges between nations will pave the way for the healing and ultimate redemption in saving the lives of thousands of Jews in Israel, Russia, Ukraine, and around the world. God bless you and your holy work.”
