“This week has begun with another horrific attack in Israel injuring 14 people, including a small child”

This week has begun with another horrific attack in Israel. The Times of Israel’s Judah Ari Gross reports that a small child was among 14 injured today when an extremist plowed his car into people at Jerusalem’s Chords Bridge:

The man, a resident of the East Jerusalem neighbourhood of Shuafat, drove his white Mazda sedan onto the sidewalk, striking a fire hydrant, near the Chords Bridge near the capital’s central bus station, police said.

According to initial reports, he then exited the vehicle and began stabbing pedestrians.

Fourteen people have thus far been treated by paramedics at the scene, according to police. One was reportedly in serious condition and eight suffered light injuries. One of the injured was an 18-month-old infant in moderate condition.
