A menorah specially designed for The Fellowship will be lit in a different location each evening among different groups of people we support year around.

Over the eight days of Hanukkah, The Fellowship Menorah will shine its light on several of our social action projects, including those that help children, the elderly, olim (immigrants), Ethiopian youth, and Jews in the former Soviet Union (FSU).

Last night, the first night of Hanukkah, The Fellowship Menorah was lit in the Fellowship-adopted city of Sderot. The mayor Alon Davidi lit the menorah, and told the crowd, "The city of Sderot is growing. Rabbi Eckstein and The Fellowship adopted our city last year, but their work in Sderot began much earlier than Operation Protective Edge. Light isn't just fire. It's the good deeds that people do."

Following the lighting of the candles, children who benefit from The Fellowship’s programming in Sderot sang songs, heard a violin performance by a young girl who studies in one of the after-school classes, and were treated to a magic show.
