Recipe: Hearty and Soft Roast Beef Dinner

Yael Eckstein is no stranger to the kitchen, especially when it comes to preparing kosher meals for her family. This week in Yael’s Corner, we are featuring the recipe for her delicious Roast Beef Dinner. Perfect for a family dinner or when you are hosting a night with special guests.

  • On the bottom of a big pot, place a chopped onion, two sweet potatoes, three white potatoes, and a head of garlic. Pour one cup of water on top of the veggies.

  • On top of the veggies, place the roast beef.

  • Pour this dressing over the roast beef and veggies: 1/3 a bottle of red wine, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup oil.

  • Season the beef all over with a generous amount of these spices: salt, pepper, garlic powder, brown sugar, rosemary.

  • Cover and make a dome with tin foil, cook on low heat (around 250) for 8 hours.
