Rabbi Killed in Shooting in Israel

Rabbi Raziel Shevah, 35, died of his injuries at a Kfar Saba hospital after receiving initial treatment by medics at the scene of the attack, the Gilad Farms Junction.

The Times of Israel reports that a rabbi and father of five has passed away from wounds suffered in a shooting in the West Bank:

Rabbi Raziel Shevah, 35, died of his injuries at a Kfar Saba hospital after receiving initial treatment by medics at the scene of the attack, the Gilad Farms Junction.

The father of five came under fire in his car while driving past the junction, the army said.

Medics said he suffered a gunshot wound to his torso and his condition was deteriorating as he was taken to the hospital.

Shevah was a resident of the nearby Gilad Farm outpost, neighbours said. He was a rabbi in a yeshiva and a mohel by profession, according to reports.

Reports said Shevah – who was also a volunteer medic – had alerted security forces, telling them he had been shot from a passing car...
